Q2 is seeking a Business Consultant to work closely with Implementation Engineers, Project Managers, and Client Project teams. This individual will be reporting to an Implementations Delivery Manager and will engage on multiple on-line banking implementations concurrently.  Business Consultants provide subject matter expertise while working within various Q2 implementation project teams.  You will develop, deliver and train best practices in both technical and non-technical aspects of a project. The Business Consultant inspects for gaps in training, work aids and execution detail so that both the client and Q2 teams meet and exceed delivery expectations.  Typically involves extensive interaction with sales, systems engineering, product development, and other members of cross-functional teams including various client disciplines.  May communicate in various forms to Q2 and Client Executive level staff.   These types of communication can include emails, presentations, formal and informal ad hoc meetings.  These communication events can include consultative recommendations, setting expectations, developing requirements, negotiating and facilitating conflict resolution.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assesses project risks and builds mitigating strategies
  • Trains others in best practices and proper execution
  • Participates in the building plans and guides teams through key on-site activities
  • Works with Solutions Architect and Development to ensure suggested solutions are feasible
  • Acts as a liaison and manages expectations of key sponsors and client executive staff related to timing, functionality and back-office requirements needed to support a successful go live
  • Mentors PMs and trains other Implementation resources in areas of product expertise, case resolution, client communication and process improvement
  • Supports case management and timely issue resolution by facilitating case reviews
  • Acts as subject matter expert in product features and functionality 
  • Helps to build requirements and solution design
  • Analyses customer’s business and makes recommendations
  • Responsible for ensuring that all security, availability, confidentiality and privacy policies and controls are adhered to
  • Helps to oversees testing and case resolution

 
 

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of experience in project management or the Financial Services industry including previous experience in a similar consultative role
  • Familiarity with enterprise software deployment architecture and methodologies
  • Knowledge of effective business requirements practices and support methodologies
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills and ability to interface effectively with technical teams as well as non-technical FI Senior Management Excellent people and teamwork skills
  • Remains calm, diplomatic and cooperative under stressful conditions
  • Attention to detail, exceptional follow-through, ability to prioritize, stay organized, and multi-task
  • Promotes a strong sense of urgency and enthusiasm for reaching goals and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to trains individuals 1-on-1 and in a classroom environment
  • Passion for improving processes and a commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time

This position requires fluent written and oral communication in English.
